It has been more than a year since Valorant has been released, and since then, this 5v5 tactical shooter has replaced csgo in the competitive gaming industry.
In this guide, we’ll be telling you the minimum and maximum PC requirements you need to run Valorant. So, without any further ado. Let’s get into it.

Can I Run Valorant? Minimum System Requirements
Valorant does not demand a high-end PC to run your game. Any decent computer should be able to run it, but if you are a grinder who plays the game a lot then we doubt that a PC with minimum requirements would do your job.
Below is the list of minimum requirements for a Windows PC that would be able to provide you with 25-35 frames on low settings.
CPU | Intel i3-370M |
Operating System | Windows 7 64-Bit |
GPU | Intel HD 4000 |
Storage | Up to 15 GB |
RAM | 4 GB |
DirectX Version | Requires DirectX 11 |
These requirements would do just fine if your goal is just to experience the game and play it for fun in your free time.
Unfortunately, if you are a MAC user, the game has not been released for the MAC OS. However, that’s not it. You may use other alternative ways to run the game on your MAC device, such as using Bootcamp software.
Recommended System Requirements
Below are the requirements that are good enough to support 60 frames on 1080p resolution. These are not the requirements that any professional would use. However, these are just fine enough to enjoy the game without any frame lag. You’d be more than good if you play the game just for fun.
CPU | Intel i3-4150 |
GPU | GeForce GT 730 Minimum |
Operating System | Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit) |
RAM | 6GB or more |
Storage | Up to 15 GB |
DirectX Version | Requires DirectX 11 |
Resolution | 1920×1080 |

Our Recommendations
These are the requirements for those who don’t want to compromise on the PC and get that good PC edge while competing with top-level players online.
Below are the PC requirements that would help you achieve consistent 240+ frames on 1080p resolution for a silky smooth gaming experience.
CPU | Intel Core i7 8700k or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or any equivalent CPU |
GPU | Nvidia GeForce 1070ti or 1080 6GB |
Operating System | Windows 7/8/10 (64-bit) |
RAM | 16GB |
Storage | Up to 20GB |
DirectX Version | Requires DirectX 11 |
Resolution | 1920×1080 |
Monitor | 144hz 1080p monitor (minimum) |
Make sure that you get a 240Hz or at least a 144Hz monitor if you’re going for this build. Without it, you won’t be able to experience the frames and smoothness.

Can I Run Valorant on Laptop
Yes, you can run Valorant on your laptop but make sure that the internals of your laptop match with at least the minimum requirements we mentioned above. However, we recommend you to go for a medium-range laptop for Valorant that can support a minimum of 60+ frames.
Intel I7-6th generation processor or equivalent with GeForce GTX 960 or equivalent is our hardware recommendation for the laptop internals.
Below are the few mid-to-high range gaming laptops that we recommend for Valorant.

Valorant Gameplay
A typical Valorant match starts with two teams having 5 players each just the same as the CSGO. One team attacks, and the other one defends.
The gameplay contains rounds, and you can buy new guns each round and fight. The first team to secure 13 rounds wins the game.
Unlike the CSGO, Valorant has different agents with different abilities, such as duelists, controllers, and sentinels. The combinations of these agents develop a complete agents meta that helps you do the best in the game.
Other than that, it is typically the same. The attackers attack the bombsite to plant the spike, and the defenders camp at the bombsites trying to defend it. Agents use their different abilities to execute attacks and defend strategies to lead their team to victory.
This was pretty much all the basic about the Valorant gameplay. I hope this guide helps win your first Valorant match.
You can also take a look at Valorant gameplay on Twitch. There are many streamers who stream their live gameplay there on a daily basis. That would help you understand the game better. Below are the links to a few professional players/streamers of Valorant.
